About
Trans by Trans Book Club
More books are written by and for trans and nonbinary people than ever before, and the Free Library wants YOU to read them with us!
Join us on the third Tuesday of each month for a virtual citywide book club for trans and nonbinary adult readers!
Each month, we will read books written by trans and nonbinary authors and discuss trans imagination, writing craft, the art of creating our lives, and more.
Free paperback copies of our titles are available for pre-registered attendees upon request. Advanced registration is required to attend.
Trans by Trans Book Club is a program of the Free Library of Philadelphia. Free book pickup is at your local neighborhood library. Once or twice a year we pick a library to all convene at for an in-person meeting. We also occasionally plan group trips to author events around the city featuring trans and nonbinary authors.
Who Should Join
Transgender and non-binary identified adults aged 22+ who live in Philadelphia. Many of our members are both transgender and disabled, and the mostly virtual format makes the club accessible.
Free books are made available to pick up at your local branch of the Free Library. Delivery arrangements may be able to be made for those registered in our home library services program serving patrons unable to visit their local library due to disability. Sight-disabled patrons can access braille and audio versions of books through LAMP.
