Whether you're into biking, baking, organizing, or creating, Join Philly maps the clubs, causes, and communities that make this city yours.

Remember club day at school. This is that, but for grown ups. The Philadelphia Activities Fair brings 40+ local clubs, community groups, and civic organizations together for one afternoon.
Walk around, talk to the people who run them, and get a real sense of what you could join next. Stay for ten minutes or spend the whole afternoon. It’s an easy, low-pressure way to see what’s happening in the city and where you might fit.

Across Philadelphia, something hopeful is happening. People are gathering again in living rooms, basements, parks, and coffee shops, building the next generation of clubs and community rituals.
This matters. Social isolation is at crisis levels and civic participation is at historic lows.
Join Philly exists to spotlight and strengthen the grassroots movement already underway. We're a civic invitation, a cultural campaign, and a growing ecosystem for participation.
We believe connection is infrastructure, joining is a civic act, and this city already has what it needs: people ready to show up.
Democracy thrives not through individualism, but through the humble, collective act of showing up.

We’re building a curated civic directory—highlighting clubs and gatherings that spark connection, creativity, and belonging. While we can’t include every group (yet), we welcome submissions from anyone who sees their community as cultural infrastructure.
Think your group fits? Submit away. We’ll be in touch if it’s a match for this phase of the project.
Every club in Philly started with someone asking: “What if we...?” Whether it’s a run through the neighborhood, chess in the park, or South Philly bird walks, the city needs your idea. Join Philly gives you tools, templates, and a platform to turn your spark into a scene.
No credentials required—just curiosity and a bit of nerve. Starting something is a civic act. We’ll help you make it stick.
We're always looking for collaborators to help Join Philly grow. That means artists, researchers, strategists, funders, photographers, civic dreamers, neighborhood whisperers, and anyone who believes that connection is a form of infrastructure. We could use help gathering stories, designing tools, spreading the word, and making sure every block has a door that’s open.
This isn’t charity work; it’s civic imagination. Let’s build something lasting, together.
