The Philadelphia Drunken Knitwits
The Philadelphia Drunken Knitwits are a group of young(er) knitters and crocheters who meet weekly for dinner, drinks, and crafting! In addition to our many personal projects, we are award-winning installation artists who love working together on public art pieces around Philly! Our Wednesday meetups are very informal, just knitters and crocheters of all levels hanging out and getting some crafting done. We also host a variety of members-only special events throughout the year such as yarn swaps, retreats, road trips, sports outings, and shopping excursions!
Who Should Join
The group is open to knitters and crocheters 21-50 years of age residing in the Philadelphia area. All genders and skill levels are welcome! Whether you have just learned to knit or are a seasoned pro, you're welcome to join us! (We do not offer lessons so those hoping to learn are encouraged to connect with their local yarn shop for instruction before joining.)
Best Way To Join
Prospective members can fill out an application on our Meetup page! We offer a 1 month free trial period after which we charge annual dues to cover our costs.
