PhillyPOP
We meet roughly once a month and every meeting has a playlist of songs on a given theme. Participants listen to the playlist in advance and discuss it at the meeting. It's a great way to connect with local music superfans and hear stuff you wouldn't have otherwise. PhillyPOP is based in beautiful West Philadelphia, PA.
Who Should Join
The ideal PhillyPOP attendee is someone with eclectic tastes in music who's interested in 1) expanding their musical horizons and 2) discussing the fine details of pop music (broadly writ, not just top 40) aesthetics, history, culture, and trivia with other music nerds.
Best Way To Join
All you need to do is RSVP to an upcoming event @ phillypop.net, then show up when the time comes. (It sounds simple, and it is!) There's no cost or commitment--come when it sounds fun and time permits.
